About Rick Crawford
Rick Crawford grew up in a military family where his father served in the United States Air Force. After graduating high school, he continued in his father’s patriotic footsteps by enlisting in the United States Army, where he served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He completed four years of service, advanced to the rank of Sergeant in under three years, and earned numerous medals for service at home and in Southwest Asia.
After completing his military service, Rick attended Arkansas State University and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Agriculture Business and Economics.
Rick’s professional career has been primarily focused on agriculture in both agri-communications and agri-business. He founded and operated AgWatch Network, which he grew to serve more than 50 radio station affiliates across five states.
Driven by a desire to serve, Rick ran for Congress in 2010 and became the first Republican elected to serve the First District of Arkansas since Reconstruction. Building upon his expertise, Rick has served on the House Agriculture and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committees, serving as Chairman on several Subcommittees, where he has helped pass two long-term Farm Bills and secured an interstate designation for I-555 and I-57.
Rick has also served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence since 2017, and was appointed Chairman in January 2025. During his tenure, Rick has been a strong advocate for the men and women of our Intelligence Community and has fought tirelessly to protect Americans from global and domestic threats.
Rick and his wife Stacy, also an A-State graduate, live in Jonesboro, and have two wonderful children. In his spare time, Rick enjoys being with his family, cooking, watching old western films, and playing guitar and singing with his band, Triple Nickel.
Building on his expertise, Rick serves on the House Agriculture Committee as the Vice Republican Leader and serves as a member on the General Farm Commodities and Risk Management Subcommittee, the Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations Subcommittee, and the Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research Subcommittee.
Rick is also honored to serve as a ranking member on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee where he is a member of the subcommittees on Highway and Transit, Water Resources and Environment, and Economic Development.
Congressman Crawford has founded numerous caucuses that reflect his work from his time in the Army to his efforts for areas across the Delta and the First District. He been recognized by numerous groups for his efforts to help small businesses, seniors, and Ag-producers.
Rick and his wife Stacy, also an ASU graduate, live in Jonesboro with their two children.
